Necroscope for Kindle
I tried to find Mr Lumleys works for kindle on Amazon.co.uk, I see now that they are available at Amazon.com...but only for yanks apparently as they keep directing me back to amazon.co.uk where there aren't any of his books available on kindle! Oh well guess I will have to wait and keep on with the good old paperback versions for now!

Necroscope for Kindle
I seem to remember that Mr Lumley is not a fan of e-books; and at present there are no Necroscope novels (or indeed any Lumley novels) available for Amazon Kindle, which I think is a shame as IMO it's a fantastic way to read and take hundreds of books with you where ever you go - I'm loving my new Kindle! Does anyone know what Mr Lumley's particular aversion to the e-book format is? It is very hard to pirate Amazon's file type and I would think that having his books available on kindle would only help the sales of his fantastic novels - I for one would love to have his library on kindle to take with me to work, on holiday etc. would be great!

Necroscope or Wamphyri?
This has probably been asked round these parts before, but...given the choice, would you prefer to have the powers of the Necroscope...or be Wamphyri!? Of course it would be cool to communicate with the dead and learn from them and such, and the use of mobius doors would be a blast, but there is something just so alluring about the power and longevity of being Wamphyri. The only trade-back I can think of would be that you would slowly lose yourself to the leech. Thoughts?

Help! I just can't get a copy!
I've read and enjoyed all the Necroscope series in order till I finished Vampire World 2...but have been stopped in my tracks from finishing the trilogy as I can't get a copy of Bloodwars anywhere! I placed an order with Play.com but that was last year and there was still no sign of it after waiting for months so I canceled the order. I tried going to Waterstones and they didn't have it. When I looked on Play.com pre-owned and Amazon they were trying to sell it for over £40! No luck with ebay either. I have since ordered it from Waterstones website but it says they are waiting to receive it on special order but that was months ago! Just what is going on?! Why should it be so hard to get a copy? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello to all
Welcome marky, and badmushroom, I havent read that many of Lumleys stories but I will be sure to check them out, as he is fast becoming my fav author. At the moment I'm halfway through 'the source' excellent series so far and I cant remember wanting to read as fast to find out what happens next then when I first started the Necroscope series. I will read them all then seek out his other works. And good to hear of the North-East presence!

Hello to all
Indeed! I have told my co-workers what a great book Necroscope is and recommended the series on the Stephen King Message Board...and now I'll get back to the novel which dropped through my letter box this morning...WAMPHYRI!

Hello to all
Thanks for the warm welcome. I may have the power of precognition...as I'm sure I can see myself enjoying the rest of the series! I have a feeling that Brian Lumley's works are not as widely known as they should be...but hopefully the Necroscope movie will rectify that.

Hello to all
Hi there, I first discovered Brian Lumley's works a little while back when reading stories from the Cthulhu Mythos, and, enjoying his style, deceided to buy a copy of Necroscope. Well I'm so glad I did! I read it within three days, brilliant book! The second in the series is on its way to me in the post and I'm going to invest in the Titus Crow Novels also. I believe I've got a lot of enjoyable reading to come! The most amazing thing is how I didn't discover his work sooner - I mean, he is originally from the same north-east former mining colliery that I live - Horden (or Harden if you like!) and obviously I found Necroscope all the more enjoyable considering that part of it is set where I live and the hero Harry Keogh is from there! I'm a constant reader of Stephen King, but I have to say that although Brian's style isn't the same, it is just as good and no less riviting, in fact Necroscope was the most enjoyable read Ive had in a long time - you have a new fan Mr Lumley.
