  1. Ahhh, but the Wamphyri are built for survival. They could feast on dogs for a hundred years, thus laying low until the human population builds up again. The future is a devious thing! And honestly, who would actually give themselves leprosy? As for the swamps, would you go anywhere near them? Rebellions, ha! They've not been that succesful in the past. Good question.
  2. Fantastic news! I've just finished Harry and the Pirates. I utterly loved it. I could read about Harry's exploits all day. I'm so glad there will be more to come from the great man.
  3. How cool does Brian look in that picture! I so want his bootlace tie. I've never seen one like that before. Let's hope this is the start of a complete tinterweb domination for everything Lumley. And why no knighthood yet?
  4. I've never been one for staying true to the book when it comes to movies. It's a different media, which needs a different kind of approach. Somewhere along the line you're going to upset fans no matter how close the film is to the book. Everybody has a different opinion on how certain people should look/act, which is fair enough. That's the beauty of a book. It takes you on a wonderful journey into your own imagination. And when somebody messes with the picture you have in your mind, you are understandably annoyed. But, for me, the movie is just an impression of the book by another artist. A bit like hr Giger's vision of Arnold Bocklin's isle of the dead painting, or many other examples of work, by many other artists. All I ask from a movie is that it's enjoyable. And all I ask for in the Necro movie is good effects and good acting, with a solid script. I don't mind if they mess about with the finer details, as long as its good viewing and it gets more people into the books.
  5. What about a director? Who would everybody like to see taking the big chair? Personally, I would love Del Toro to do it, I like his style.
  6. I think I might have had an accident. Harry AND Pirates all in one book! Damn, there I go again. New trousers please!
  7. I realy think it would work well as a mini series. I would love to see the blokes from Heroes do it. A big box office movie followed by a Necro mini series. Then I can sleep until they bring Titus Crow to the big screen!

  12. I grabbed! I grabbed! Do I have to wear white gloves when I read the comics? And is it wrong for a 35 year old hairy Glasgow bloke to be excited about them?

Hey fellow Necro fangs. I'm marky, freshly bitten but overly squeezed. I just wanted to share this site with everyone. http://www.storycasting.com You look up the book of your choice and chose the cast you want in the movie. I started a Necroscope one if yer interested. @Silky. Oh glorious masters lady, thanks for the mega, super-cool comics I won on eBay. I wish I had the cash for the Suck bust. Damn this low paid work. The Devil don’t pay well. Bah!
  14. Happity Birthity, Brian. May you walk in cumfy shoes.
  15. Hey every-bloody. I'm new to the forum as well, but not new to the genius that is Mr Lumley. I truly love his books. The first one I ever read was Necroscope. I've only got as far as Vampire World III. I can't put into words how good the Vampire world’s books are. All of Brian’s books are top notch, but the three Vampire world books are fantastic. As are the adventures of Mr Crow. I read a fair amount. It's my favourite pass-time. So I've made my way through a fair amount of books. Fantasy/Horror/Sci F fi are the books I most enjoy. Brian Lumley is without a doubt my favourite Author, closely followed by Patrick Rothfuss. Both of them write so, so, so well. I look forward to catching up on the books I haven’t read yet.
