January 29, 200718 yr Author comment_34487 That's kinda what I said way back yonder when we first got onto these argument's over such things...My take on the whole thing is constricted by the author's vision and I believe that Brian defines the Leach as EVIL and that closes the argument for me but that's just my opinion.... If it was a real creature then it might be different but it's fiction and therefore isn't subject to normal rules and standards and that Evil, Good, Black and White are more easily defined and seperated unlike reality where there seems to be so many different shades of grey!!!
September 29, 200916 yr Author comment_40190 This is just a quick & no doubt feeble attempt at getting some convo flowing in here, and just something for you guys to squabble over! Should Brian have continued the Necroscope saga further after Avengers???
September 29, 200916 yr comment_40193 The Leech being good and evil wow, umm i am not sure how to answer that due to the fact that at one point it was said the Lesk the Gluts leech was insane but maybe he was already insane and that turned is leech insane... so who knows maybe the Leech only makes the person immortal and gives the person other special traits but its the person thats truly evil... As for Harry was destined to become Wamphyri it was in his blood to become what he hunted...And i think given time he would of succumbed eventually... As for Nestor now that was interesting...I think he was destined for it as well...I think Nathan got the good side of their father while Nestor got the bad... As for going the saga i would very much love to see like a book detailing more information on various Wamphyri...like the Ferenczys i think theirs a missing link between Jemma Freydaskith and Ion Ferenc...and more information on some of the Ferenczys on Earth like Nonari, Belos, Waldemar and Angelo but can include more information on the others to...How about the Drakul brothers, we know really nothing about them... Even Shaitans bloodline can be detailed a little...which side did Shaithis come from... So maybe a companion book or whatever you would like to call it....
September 29, 200916 yr comment_40198 Some of my favorite reading was the history of some of the Vamphyri. So, I would enjoy some companion books about them.
September 29, 200916 yr comment_40202 Vamphyri history would rock, but what about the history when some of them were humans like Faethor, Belos etc its all their and just one big books you got most of it already just need to fill in some blanks...
October 2, 200916 yr comment_40232 I think no continuation after Avengers - I think it was a good ending and even though it's very open with countless scope for more I think enough is enough. However, I would really enjoy some filler stories - such as more from the Wamphyri we already know about, some of the history and back stories as has been mentioned.
October 2, 200916 yr comment_40241 I also agree with Avengers being the end. It amazing that Brian got 13 successful books out of it as it is. How many other writers can do this, a few but not many. It comes down to excellent writing, story line and characterization, which I don't think anyone does better than Brian. Now that Brian is...retired?? What sounds great to me is, a series of chap books about the back history of the Wamphyri. They're short, easy to write (easy for me to say), and they're cheap.
October 3, 200916 yr Author comment_40251 Yeah I'm totatly on the leave it were it is side but what a brilliant idea about having a Wamphyri companion with histories etc, that would be awesome! Write it, write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it write it, Phew! Somebody needs to take over I'm all out of breath.
October 3, 200916 yr comment_40256 how about this who would you want to know more about...me Nonari, Belos, and Waldemar....
October 4, 200916 yr Author comment_40258 Not even hard that one Faethor is without doubt one of the greatest Wamphyri of them all and I know we got a lot of his story in books 2, 4, 9 and 10 but I would still want more more more please!
October 5, 200916 yr comment_40265 Agreed, it should have stopped with Avengers, however the idea of Wamphyri back filler would be amazing
October 5, 200916 yr Author comment_40267 I'm thinking The BIG book of the Wamphyri a full history of the Master Vampire race and thier "EVIL" Leaches! It could be special edition wrapped in human skin, preferably facial so you can still see the agonised screams dying on the poor victims lips (I'm thinking we could use Anne Rice fans, not that I have anything against them but I think it would be a good statement and show people who the harder vamps are) Edited October 5, 200916 yr by Helmet Head
October 5, 200916 yr comment_40276 Intersting idea Helm. Though you do realise some of your fellow Lumlians do enjoy Ann Rice - including Mrs Lumley!
October 5, 200916 yr Author comment_40293 Sacrifices must be made in the name of your art Sharon, if it means we go light a few members then that's something I'm willing to let happen
October 5, 200916 yr Author comment_40294 If anyone wants to discuss something from Brian's books or genarally argue then feel free to throw something into the mix!
