May 7, 200323 yr comment_17744 I've got two to points really both mistakes in the books I'm afraid, well I think there mistakes and would gladly accept an explanation as long as it's a good one. 1:In Deadspeak when Harry is near the top of the mountain and Janos's mountain lair he comunicates with Bodrok the resurected thracian warrior using the medium of deadspeak but in Deadspawn he tests paddy the dog with deadspeak after he resurects him but get's no result because paddy's alive,is this Brian breaking a rule in without realising it or is there an explanation I've overlooked. 2:This one's not so bad in Necroscope 1 Gormley's nephew shows up outside the train station as max badu zaps Gormley we then find out a few pages later on that Gormley's nephew is married to his daughter making Gormley his uncle and father inlaw is this another error or is it that there just a very close family like derliverance type close or am I just reading it completely wrong ? June 4, 200322 yr Author comment_17747 Not that this is the most popular topic (come on people this should be like home work for yah,I'm still waiting for answers)but I think I've discovered another sticky patch in the books or could it just be me being to arsey and not being able to see the woods for the trees. The problem is I'm reading Invaders for the 3rd time now and have just noticed that in the old file Trask gives Jake about vampire lore etc it mentions the Drakuls and how they kept native soil to sleep on, My question being how would anyone know anything about the Drakuls as Harry was the only one who could of told them but all of that stuff was part of his lost years so he couldn't have told them anything and e-branch would have been none the wiser and so none of that stuff would of been in the report ? I hope that makes sense I got dizzy just writing it never mind trying to read it :confused: Report

When Harry spoke with Badrock, Harry was also becomming a Wamphryi, so he may have been communicating with him telepathically, and just not realized it wasn't Deadspeak in the "heat of the momment". :confused: Just a thought... Also, in the myth of the Drakuls (or Dracula) it was known on Staside that they slept in thier dirt from Starside, as well as the book Dracula states he sleeps in dirt from his native "country". I may be wrong on some points, but this is off the top of my head. It is also possible, that after the lost years, and even though Harry's memory of the incidents was erased, Ebranch did some investigating of their own into Vampire myths. Not all information came from Harry (& later Nathan), just a large majority of it. Report
June 5, 200322 yr comment_17749 Correct me if I'm wrong here but I thought the Draculs brought the Earth/dirt with them when they were banished to Earth through the Gate? I thought the only reason they had it was for a personal reminder as to where they were from. None of the Wamphryi on Starside slept on dirt that I was aware of. Am I wrong? Please correct me if I am as I would just have to pick up the books again and start reading all over. For the 5'th time Report
June 7, 200322 yr comment_17750 Ummm, I think I put in the post that the dirt was from Starside, it was only in the fictional book that I said that Dracula slept in dirt from his home "Country", in quotation marks because it was from Starside, not Transylvania. Report
September 8, 200322 yr Author comment_17751 Forgot to answer my own post here, Rissa I know what your saying about him becoming Wamphyri and it possibly being his telepathy developing but he does state that he knows the difference between the two forms of speak so to speak, and that's how he new he was talking to a dead man in Bodrok. On the Drakul thing e-branch never new about any of the Drakul's or the exsistence of other vampire factions I.E. Angelo, Anthony, Francesco, Radu, BJ and her girls and they didn't even find out about Castelleno till the end of Defilers, the only way I can reason the Drakuls being mentioned in the report is if it was purely based on legends out of Starside Sunside and that they never new that the Drakuls came to our earth.
