Actually, I have the answers for that particular book a lot closer than just "right next to my PC."

Anyhow...

 

There is a boy in The Return of the Deep Ones who might possibly have miraculously escaped his disgusting fate in that particular story to go on to appear in an early Necroscope book or two.

 

I don't see how that could've happened because the boy's fate was quite decisive, but hey! It could happen! There are no coincidences! He's in both tales!

 

Name the boy...and the man! (They have the same name if you haven't determined that for yerself yet.)

The man died in the first Necroscope book but continued to help Harry from the grave (as well as Nathan and Jake) throughout the rest of his life.
