April 14, 200620 yr comment_19106 it's not just typos though is it?? I read the Godfather. One of the best selling books of the last 40 years... it's rife with gramatical errors... as for mistakes in Brian's books? Look at the original E-Branch: Invaders (with the George Underwood cover), and see the title page inside where the book is by someone called "Brain Lumley"... who the hell is he??? not a bad typo though Report
April 17, 200620 yr comment_19107 I love typos, they can be hilarious! For me they never detract from the book either, if you can tell what the word is supposed to be or what it is supposed to mean then there's no problem, it's just something to chuckle at and then congratulate yourself for spotting it! I agree that typos are not the fault of the author, that is what editors and proof readers are for and they are human too so can't be expected to get it spot on every single time. Report
April 18, 200620 yr comment_19108 on page 229 of the us version of deadspawn it has the word 9hould. now there's a typo for you. Report
April 19, 200620 yr comment_19109 in my UK HB of lost years 1, (can't remember where), but it was the second time I met Brian, and he altered some text so that it read "stroked his thigh" (slightly paraphrased) rather than "stroked his thing"... you can kind of see how this could be a typo or not!!! heh Report
May 9, 200620 yr comment_19111 Ok a couple of things, I rate some of Kings books as amongst the best Ive read, 'It' is one of my all time favourites. Sarcasm in the printed form can be easily misread. I take the piss out of everything because I see the ludicrous side of life and I dont take things too seriuosly. I apologise if saying King should never have been an author upset anyone, I WAS JOKING ! Lastly, too much caffeine is bad for you. p.s Tops I apologise for going off topic. Typos or not Brian ROCKS !!!!!!!!! Report
May 9, 200620 yr comment_19113 I got one, in the second House of Doors book somewhere in the middle, the china man runs his hands through his hair? neat trick considering he only has one of them. Hands that is not hair. Report
May 10, 200620 yr comment_19114 Hee hee, the other way would be funny, imagine running both hands through one strand of hair! Report
