Look I know the story couldnt be with out Nestor becomming Whamphyri and Nathan was the ABSOLUTLY right choice to become the Necroscope..... BUT, I couldnt help feeling several times through the vamp world series, that Nestor could have been better than Harry Snr, Harry Jnr and Nathan, I cant say y, its just a feeling I continously got.... What do u think?

I don't know. I don't think so. He received his shard at an early age and still didn't have any form of deadspeak before he was Whamphyri, I think.

I reckon that Nestor didn't so much as "use" his shard until he became Wamphyri. But once he had became one he could have been better than all the others as he didnt have any restraints that the Harrys had in regards to being wamphyri; he went along with it, they fought it.

Hence his rise as a power so quickly? One of Harry's sons had to be Wamphyri.. Harry's reign as a vampire was too short.. We needed to see what would of happened if one with Harry's talents stayed long enough on "The Dark Side"

nester got the bad and nathan got the good those shards are what shaped their lives and made them go down those paths. cause if you remember that back when they were kids nester always played the wamphyri and nathan the rebelion thrall...their childhood game is what they turned out to be they always knew it but never thought about it...(nathan was the run away thrall of Maglore in away atleast) so it was destiny as the precogs allways say what will be will be theres no changeing it.

I think Nestor's attraction is that he is a much more ambiguous character. In the end, it seems to me that Nathan becomes a very stylised messianic hero, and its Nestor's flaws and character weaknesses which make him more compelling.
