I have an advance copy. I know a couple of others also have a copy of the advance, but I thought I would start a thread.

 

I've got another book to finish first (which I am forcing myself to do), and then onto the touch, which I've already read some of. goosebumps? yes I think so.

Ok, read this about a month ago but didn't want to say much. I will say it was worth the wait and I enjoyed it.

 

Once the book is published, maybe we can talk more about the story etc.

For now, just for the Helm, I'm going to read it again.

It's amazing. I'm about a 1/4 through it.

I hope I'm not asking for to much of a spoiler, but where in the timeframe is this book?

The book is set in the 18yrs between Deadspawn and Blood Brothers, and is about E-Branch's other brushes with dark and sinister beings...

Here's a link to a previous post that discusses the new book in depth and hopefully gives you a few clues as to what exactly the book is about, however vague some of it is...

 

Malinari's little 2p worth at the end is priceless though and makes me p*ss my pants every time I read it, I just found it hilarious...

I must admit to being entirely disenchanted with this new book. What made the Necroscope powerful to me was the Vampire. Without it, I seriously doubt my interest will be piqued.

I can see your where your coming from Necro, but I will say that over the years Brian has piqued more than my interest with his other stories.

And even with no Vampires in site they've always managed to entertain me greatly...

 

Maybe you should try your hand at some of his other books or short stories that are none Necroscope, I think you'd be pleasantly suprised and find the Brian is no one trick pony...

No hun, there's a poster here on this board who's name is Malinari. He had an interesting post on the other 'Touch' thread, that's what The Helm is refering to.

 

Yeah, I got a wee bit confused myself, until I saw the link Helm provided.

When I first heard about the new book my first thought was that it was gonna be set after Avengers, I was looking forward to seeing the aliens come down to a world infested with vampires Mind you now that I know its gonna be set between Deadspawn and Blood Brothers I'm even more intrigued lol

I would love to see a book set after Avengers. Maybe some day.

 

Touch is pre-ordered and I am eagerly awaiting its arrival in just a few weeks.
