June 26, 200619 yr comment_20845 I have not read the entire book yet, but I am enjoying it so far. I just wanted to say that I am kind of glad it is not part of a series. While I am enjoying it very much, I do miss the Wampyri. Report

June 29, 200619 yr comment_20850 did anyone see this review by June at publishers weekly via amazon? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0765316099/002-1341827-7724823?v=glance&n=283155 Did she even read the book? Report
June 29, 200619 yr comment_20851 What a frigging fruit, did I miss the part where Harry had his last name changed to Keough? And how did Lumley write Deadspeak (Necroscope IV) in 2001 when he was writing the E-Branch series then? And did I miss the part in Touch where L said Three was a female wolf, and that Scott was dalling her along with Shania? Hollyfuckingbatnuts, Batman. Report
June 29, 200619 yr comment_20852 Obviously that person was on something or never read the book. That is just terrible all the mistakes in it. Report
July 2, 200619 yr comment_20853 As a moderator I was initially inclined to chastise you for your pottie-mouth, Mr. Stone, and remind you how we (as good, rule-reading posters) try to tone down our natural sickmouth tendancies here at BL.com at the behest of its namesake. We don't want to seem like a bunch of empty-headed foul-mouths... But looking at the context in which the explitive was used I cannot bring myself to fulfill the obligation because you're 100% correct...that is fucking ridiculous! Report
July 2, 200619 yr comment_20854 I just finished "The Touch"...........as usual, read it like a bat outta hell and went thru the book in 2 days. Now all I want is more! I'll just have to re-visit the series from the beginning..........and become inthralled again! Report

July 6, 200619 yr comment_20859 I got it a couple of days ago but I'd already started the series from the beginning again so I'm leaving it until I've read the lot in order. Only another 3,750,000 words to go Report
July 7, 200619 yr comment_20860 3,750,000 words left? Do you have an anorak? __________________________________________________ "And what rough beast, its hour come round at last Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?" Spike - (The Uncivil Servant @ Taunton) Report
July 12, 200619 yr comment_20863 OOOhhhh yesh Finished it today, fantastic work Brian! And, as the BeeGees put it... "you win again" I can't decide if this would have worked better as an 'E-Branch' book as opposed to a 'Necroscope' one, for reasons that I can't go into without getting spoilery. Anyhow, I have belted through it and those thoughts may change after I've re-read it. Still gets 9/10 though Edit: Got mine off of Amazon btw, it never ceases to amaze me that Brian's newer work takes an age to find it's way to shops in the UK. When I started out reading his work, every bookshop I used to go in had a reasonable selection. There's still copies of some of the Necroscope books in larger Waterstones, but that's not a lot of use for established readers. Better than nowt I suppose though... <:.blood.:> [ July 11, 2006, 05:24 PM: Message edited by: blood...everywhere ] Report
July 12, 200619 yr comment_20864 J & P, far from being told I point a finger in accusatory stylie (except in Donald Sutherland way at the end of The Body Snatchers, heh heh heh), I kinda guessed it was a guesstimate!! __________________________________________________ “Most people would rather die than think: many do.” Spike – (The Uncivil Servant @ Taunton) Report

I would have to agree with you, but here in the US we never had any 'E-Branch' books as they all had the title of 'Necroscope'. So here it really is not an issue. Report
