Another year for The Master! Have a wonderful birthday and may this year be better than the last!

 

Although with the Companion, KeoghCon II, and your multitude of friends and fans... how can it get any better?? :) With even MORE friends & fans, KeoghCon III, World Fantasy Con in DC and whatever Joy life brings you with each birthday you have!

 

We don't just get older, we get better and better each year! Yeah ok, will try to remember that myself when I reach the big 40... soon...oh so very soon! lol

Brian, the words Happy Birthday, while sincerely meant to convey my best possible wishes, and to celebrate the coming into the world of the Grand Master of Horror, do not pass across my total respect and admiration for you as a writer and as a person.

 

But they are a great excuse for a drink... brandies all round and VERRRRRRRY HAPPPPPY BIRTHDAYYYYYYYYYY BRIAN!!!!

Well dammit, I was gonna write a small verse as well, but don't want to seem like a copycat or stealer of thunder.

 

Suffice it to say, I was planning to mention [in verse] your early career as a writer writing strictly for your own enjoyment and entertainment. How you basically stumbled into the masses of horror fans and captured our attention without really even knowing it.

 

Then, realizing what you'd done, you took the lead and wrote for us! Became a Master of the Craft and didn't stop until we let you. Wait a second! You haven't stopped yet! And we never wanted you to! And never said you could! (<--tongue in cheek, haha, yada-yada)

 

You gave us all a big scare with Avengers but some of us didn't give up hope. :D

 

So a big thank you from me, as well as wishes for the very best to you in the years to come.
