DEFILERS ... PALATAKI...

Featured Replies

Here's some photos I just recently took while we were on holiday.

"Pakataki" (or the Little Palace), on Krassos, from Necroscope: Defilers Notice how deserted, dilapidated ... cursed?

"Palataki" again, with intrepid author standing in its shadows, (almost). But the shadoes grow longer ... and that high, gaping doorway ... and a furtive movement in the tower with windowless windoes. Time to move on.

WOW!! Very spooky and exactly as I imagined it to be from Brian's description in the book - oddly enough, have just finished rereading that, too. PS Who's that little bloke in the foreground!! ( grin.gif ) Just joking!! Hope you had an excellent holiday. smile.gif

Silver, have done the 'Torquay' thing already!! See previous post. As for buying the property if I had the geld, Joeann! Hmmmmm. Now there's a question not too easily answered. It's a fine structure for sure, but what would anyone actually DO with it? (Apart from renovate and live in it or rent it out) P'raps we should buy it as a collective and rent it out to ourselves the year round!!!!! Cracking idea, eh?

Been there and thought about that too.

1. Turn it into a hotel and have a con there.

2. Turn it into a hotel and Brian Lumley Museum.

Unfortunately, It's being renovated for study purposes?

It is sitting on a lot of caves so is pretty dangerous I suppose

It really is in baaad condition. The exterior photos do not do the inside justice.

The really cool thing about it is at the back, there is the shrine to Vavara (really)

Oh, and have you counted the windows at the front. 13!

I presume that a lot of the places in BL's books are a mixture of made up & real. Are there any other 'real' places on Krassos worth visiting - ie 'The Aerie' up in t'mountains? Seriously am thinking of getting there this summer SOMETIME - soon, hopefully.

Is there a Mod out there with any info on this island of Krassos? I've looked all over the search mode on the web & can't find anything! :(

Any info would be gratefully received (Or is it one of BL's made up names?) If so, what's the ACTUAL location? Gotta go there! Thanx.
