I know the necroscope series could be the greatest movie series ever, but what of the psychomech trilogy. Why hasn't any hollywood hounds sniffed out the money under those covers? The guy became a god! The Lawnmower Man coulnd't even hang on to Richard's nuts under the best of circumstances.

Probably because Lawnmower Man 2 bombed so badly.

 

They are two different stories, they're both good (Psychomech moreso of course), but they're too similar....maybe.

 

While there are plenty of horror flicks out there with plenty of gore and violence and such, I think the world (so to speak) isn't quite ready to embrace Brian's work. And by "the world" I mean producers aren't willing to stick their necks out for the stories.

I imagine you're right. with their necks stuck out, doing B's work, they might be drained of their red hot meaning of life (not to rip off disturbed, I just love the phrase!). I didn't want to compare King to Lumley, but I guess the shoe fit somewhat painfully.
