personally my fav is The Source, its got everything a cracking book form start to finish( but then they all are)

All of 'em. I can't decide.

They have all got something to offer. Re-reading them all again, I have enjoyed The Lost Years and the E-Branch books better than the last time. But if I were to be pushed to choose, I'd still have to go with the original Necroscope. The history of Harry and Dragosani, as it builds towards there final confrontation just edges it for me.

Would have to say the whole set of vampire world books would have to be the favs. The idea of an existance in that world both thrills and terrifies me. Breathtakeing beauty in a primal land with the shadow of vampires just over the barrier mts....yeah makes for wonderful and horrid dreams.

I like The Source also, because of the introduction to another world.

But the Vampire World trilogy takes the cake-it's awesome. I couldn't pick one of these if I was asked though. I don't think......

It's tough to say but I guess I'll say the vampire world trilogy because of the epic feel of the books.

The Source was the best read but, Necroscope, with Dragosani's straw... delicious.

I'd have to say the source as well, although the vampire world books are absolutely marvelous, theres no beating the specatular evil and flawless ruthlessness of the Old Wamphyri!

Any of the books that have to do with the Wamphyri World and any of the books that don't.

This is a hard put question cause they are all such great books but as others have stated, I loved and was enthralled by the notion of the vampire worlds, so any of the books pertaining to sunside/starside I lean a little more too!!! But once again I have no real favorite as they are all my favorite books!!!

The Source is my favourite too, the way it adds that extra dimension to the storyline and some of the new characters like Jazz and Major Khuv really came alive for me while I was reading it. I liked the first Necroscope too as it had an original take on the classic vampire legends.

 

The Vampire World saga is another great story, following the the lives of the two brothers and the different paths they take makes the Lord of the Rings look like a long, boring walk through the park on a sunny afternoon.

I enjoyed reading the first Necroscope book like no other book before. the hair stood up on the back of my neck when Thibor spoke to a young Dragosani in the criciform hills...

Looking back at when I read the Necro books it was like each new book was this grand new adventure that was better and better than the last. However, trying to decide a favorite of them all is really difficult. I wasn't a big fan of lost years, I really struggled through them, but all the rest seem to have been so great. I even enjoyed The Touch and found the ending to be phenomenal. The idea that the world as we know it ceases to exist except for the sapce within a bubble.

But if I had to chose one. I think my favoite must be the first book, Necroscope. It was completely chilling nevertheless not only could I cease to read it. It took me a whopping week to read the whole thing and I spent almost that entire week reading. Then I had to go about hunting down the rest.

I love the whole of the necroscope series though. And it gets at me that my own collection is in Ohio until I can get back to get them. I'm just happy for people who buy me things that I otherwise couldn't justify buying myself.

No particular favourites. They are all ausgezeichnet! Waiting with baited breath for Harry & The Pirates, though. C'mon Brian, put that bottle of Metaxa down..... (Drums fingers impatiently)

I've gotta agree with Lumley himself on this one. My two favorites are the original Necroscope, because the concept blew me away when I first came across it, and Necroscope V: Deadspawn, because Harry's internal struggle is so well portrayed.

It's good to see other's opinion on a topic that means so much to each of us.

 

I love them all and can't choose between them, so I always say Necroscope as that was the first, without that one none of the others would exist!
