Posted January 8, 200817 yr comment_37108 I've had enough of the Necroscope movie thread. I love the idea, so much so that I'm getting frustrated with the inactivity. I know this is no-ones fault, but I need a distraction. So if there is ANY other novels, tales from Brian you think would be a great movie, TV episode, short film?? I would love to see something like Stephan King's Nightmares & Dreamscapes. Episodes containing short stories by Brian, but done a little better. It probably won't happen, but you never know, a producer with $$$ may pick up Fruiting Bodies, Dagon's Bell or read about Titus Crow and get enthralled like the rest of us. So throw your ideas around, the producer with $$$ may even read this thread:rolleyes:.
January 9, 200817 yr comment_37113 I love The House of Doors, and I think that it could make quite an easy transition from book to screen. Not given much thought to actors/ director though? The Titus Crow short stories would be a good idea for a tv series. With all the tv crap out there being produced, it must be time for some quality programmes.
January 10, 200817 yr comment_37119 I agree megadeth Titus Crow would make a great tv series!!! Awesome name by the way, one of my favorite bands!!!
January 10, 200817 yr comment_37120 They did the Lovecraft story "The Dreams in the Witch House" on the first series of Masters of Horror, so maybe they could be persuaded to do one of these stories for their next series (if they make one)? Stuart Gordon directed the episode - hes the guy who did the Re-animator movies and From Beyond. They even have a groovy Flash website - no under construction pages tho http://www.mastersofhorror.net/ John Carpenter would be a great choice to direct it - purely on the basis of his film "In the Mouth of Madness"... Do you read Sutter Cane? Oops, I mean Brian Lumley?
July 18, 200817 yr Author comment_38065 I've been rereading the Tarra Khash books. Wouldn't that make a cool series on TV. I say a series because it's more plausible someone would have the budget to produce a TV series than a multi-million$$ blockbuster. I'd love to see Tarra on his adventures through the Primal Lands, wouldnt you?
July 18, 200817 yr comment_38066 As a taster to how wrong things can go you should watch Necros (The Hunger TV Series). This is a BL short but if you know the story, you will not recognise what the did with it.
