I didn't understand the ending of T.Crow trilogy!

Featured Replies

I just finished the CCD trilogy and just

didn't understand what happened. I guess

that knathnid and chuthlu are the same

entity, and that the reason the benign

elder becomes evil is because, after millions

of years, all he remembers is that he had to

leave paradise. So this is the timeline:

Beginning of time:knathnid and other elders

arrive after 'running'

from CCD.

1 billion yrs later:knathnid now cthulhu

other elders are other

CCD

3 billion yrs later:titus crow enters the

scene.

So:

How were chthulhu and other CCD's imprisoned?

Were the CCD the only gods around for

2 billion years? Couldn't they have conquered

the universe in that time?

What happened to the 'first' timeline -

the one that happened before the elders

had to run from the CCD (because the CCD

did not yet exist)?

can i just point out there were 6 books in the titus crow saga.... whichs ones did you read?

Topol- Basakar probably has the Tor editions which were published as a three book set. Each book had two of the Titus Crow stories in it.

I read the 3 Tor books.

I'm still somewhat confused.

The CCD are angry/evil because they were

exiled from Elysia, but why were they

mad the very first time they attacked

Elysia?

And, if they've been imprisoned since

the beginning of time, how could they

have done anything evil?

Basakar- There is no explanation for the question you are asking. Or at least one wasn't written in the story. In the Case of the Titus Crow stories time is a loop. The beginning leads to the end which is the beginning all over again. There is no first time. It is always the same. If you want to get it straightened in your head you would have to read a lot of books about Time travel, paradox's, and worm holes and so such. It all has to do with theories on how time works. And since we as humans don't grasp how time works yet, the answer to your question would only be theory. It could be that there was a first time event that created the whole battle between the elder gods, but as soon as the Time loop was created the original arguement would no longer exsist, not at least in that time line. It would be in another place all together, or cease to exsist at all anymore.

This probably confused you more, sorry. In short the beginnning is the end is the beginning is the only way to answer your question. There was no first time, only all the other countless times that time has repeated itself.

Peter,

That sounds good to me..... but you've (time) warped my mind smile.gif
