With all of the vampires in style I'm actually kind of curious just why these books haven't been turned into movies already. Here in the USA this fall a TV station, CW, will be making a Twilight-esque (Toilet) book series into a TV series. I think that its called Vampire Diaries. Nobody can tell me that there isn't a want, hell, a need to do an anti Emo-pire movie or series for Showtime or some other cable channel to compete with HBO's True Blood.

My point being, since I'll be Harry I'll have lots of fun hunting all of you deranged vampires into extinction so that I can save the world from your evil.

Seriously, though, why isn't this being pushed at all?

Emo-pire - ha ha, I love that!

Feel free to use it, if you want. In my opinion all of these emotional "vampires" are quite tiresome and really overused. What other evil creatures will be whineing about their lives next? Wolfman, Frankenstien, or Mr. Hyde? We also can have Medussa endlessly pondering why she is a creature. These Emo-pires are more like Romeo and Juliet than vampires. If that hasn't been done to death, and even UNdeath, I don't know what has.

I really like that you guys have all picked such different characters to play in the movie. If that is the way that you really are, I don't want to meet you in a dark alley. lol

I don't have nightvision, so it would be easier for you guys to sneak up on me, roll me for my blood (as opposed to my wallet) and be off on your (evil) merry way. I'd have to be looking for you guys to track you down. If you really are like the people that you want to play in the movies mentally speaking you're a pretty deranged bunch of people... then again, so am I. :P

Oh well, at least you aren't Emo-pires!;)

Hee hee, I used the phrase this morning whilst talking to my work mate who's into emo-pires! She was telling me about Twighlight which I haven't seen or read and she did agreed the word was fitting, but loves them anyway!

We're still missing quite a lot of ebranch and the Russian characters, also the voice of Harrys Mum and Mobius. Any takers out there?

Since I haven't read the books or seen the movie I'm not really qualified to say if they are any good. What I do know, though, is that hearing the author herself say that she knew nothing about vampires because she found them "too scary" so made hers actually sparkle in daylight (!) is enough to make me not want to rush out and read the books or get a ticket. That being said, I'll probably end up borrowing my best friend's copy one of these days and sit down at home to laugh, errr, I mean watch. I've read either the 1st 3 or 4 (its been a while so I forget) of Ann Rice's books and watched both of the movies that were made. I've got to say that I was pretty disappointed since it seemed like they were different stand alone books that I was reading but they had the same characters. In my opinion, the movies had even less to do with the books than the books had to do with eachother. I'm about ready to go to IMDB and start spreading "emo-pires" on the net just to see how far I can make the word go. I think that it'll be hilarious if/when its used on a national program. Lets have some fun with it.

Now that I've gotten done bitching about emo-pires, I'm surprised that nobody on here has chosen to play any good guy/gal and only chosen the vampires. I feel all alone hunting all of you down with no support team. I mean, I don't even see any dead people...

Not that I'm trying to force anybody, but anyone want to rethink their role and help me out? After all, it is more fun to kick ass than for me to kick yours. lol

Certainly not, I'm an extra - surely not a big enough part for you to be avenging me. I might play lots of different roles, just dressed in different clothes and incorporating wigs and make up and stuff into my disguise so I can be a general person on the street, or other mourner in the cemetary, passenger on the train (the journey when Keenan Gormley gets ambushed by Dragosani and Batu), Russian ESPer in the background, or how about dead Tartan warrior. The possibilities are many!

So you'd be one of the newly dead that I could count on to rise up and help me when I was backed into a corner while fighting all of the vampires? Cool! We, also, haven't had anybody want to be cast as Harry's mom. She isn't in it that much, but she is important.

Hey Necrosage don't forget,I'm doing Jazz.Like I said before hes a legend so your not on your own.

Together we'll kick ass:)

I've been busy training for a half-marathon so I'm getting back in shape. Now all I need is the call from Hollywood.....

I'm sorry, Numasthrall, I forgot about you. Lets kick all of these vamp asses, shall we? After all, we do have to protect Silver from the undead.

On a different note, do you guys think that when, not if, the movie is made that we could get Mr. Lumley to do a cameo like Jim Lee does in his Marvel movies? I think that it would be so cool to see him as his faveorite civilian, dead, or vampire.

I think I would have to be Nester Lichloathe. His story was good and he really went through it when he got back to Starside. Janos Ferenczy would be nice too. He was the only one who actually learned and practiced magic. Not illusions but black magic. Also, the dweller because, well... he could do almost anything. Everybody picks Harry but, that's expected. I want to be someone different. Auiet den.

Strife, don't put yourself down. We can always find room for you. There are still so many roles to be filled. We could even have you as the voice of Mobius, if you'd like. Wanna teach me how to teleport?

Would we keep this as an English movie, or would we move it to somewhere in the USA? I'm only asking so that I know if I'll need to have them hire a voice coach to teach me the English accent.

ok ok... if i had to chose and if i was restricted to the first book then i would say Boris Dragosani and/or Thibor Ferenczy! they are awsome and Wicked!
