Heya im Michael from England, im 18, i know by all account many of you could say Necroscope is before my time but i dont care since i love them anyway, my fav book would have to be Necroscope: The Source :)

Okay, ive been reading Necroscope since 2001 and after spending years lurking this site i thought it was about time i signed up ;)

I think the Necroscope books are the greatest, me and my gf frequently have long debates about who writes the best Vampire novels Brian Lumley or Ann Rice. With me battle bravely for good old Brian :)

I hope to have a fun time here with you all :)

Welcome Hia, hope to hear lots from you in the future.

Its kinda a stalemate.

Since i read Necroscope, Vampire World, Lost Years and E-Branch first she read Vampire Lestat etc. We asked each other to read the others books but it didnt work out, after reading about the Wamphiri i just couldnt enjoy the idea of 'normal' vampires since the Wamphiri to me seem more deep and interesting instead of 'We drink blood and dont like Sunlight ' vampires. The same applys to her except its the reverse, she has been reading Ann Rice for so long she cant get into the premise that there is something 'greater' than vampires.

We both love both our books so much neither of us budge, all though i claim to be the winner since she managed to read as far as Necroscope: Vamphiri, where as i didnt get to the end of Interview

I enjoy both Brian and Anne Rice. Though I have to say I like Brian better. Interview was not one of the better ones, In my opinion she's very hit and miss with her stories. Some of them are really good, like Pandora or Queen of the Damned for example, but others are really wishy washy and I can well understand why you didn't get through Interview.

Hi Michael

Funny enough I read my first Necroscope novels in 1991. Probably the year of your birth... I guess if you're old enough to read and understand the books then you're old enough to join.

Welcome to the forum. I'm new here myself and enjoying the debates.

Actually the year of my birth was 1990, 19th of December 1990 to be exact.

But yeah they are just great books. I do which they were ALL reprinited instead of the 1st 4 but i can live with that :)
