I watched it all a while back, it went a bit wayward in the middle but picked up. Best bits were the vampire court episode and vampire boss, can't remember his name, he was in Generation Kill anyway.

 

Loose the soppy stuff and do the edgy stuff.

 

Pete, Buffy was soo gay! It was even pink shirt gay!

Dexter and his 'sister' hooked up in real life, and that hasn't shown any sign of going downhill yet, so hopefully Sookie and Bill won't ruin True Blood with domestic bickering! I enjoyed the season finale, bring on season 2!

 

Also, for UK folks, True Blood is coming to Channel 4 this week, for those who don't have access to FX

Dexter is rather good, and it has Darla in it (you remember from that g-hey show buffy).

Dexter's sister in the show said the best thing "I've had a metric-fuck-tonne of coffee". Made me laugh for a long time. She's gotta be one of the most foul mouthed women in TV!

 

Oh, and the conclusion to trueblood was better than expected. I'm kind of interested in the woman from BSG/Star Trek - what's she on?

I couldn't work out where I'd seen her before. She reminded me of one of the original Charlie's Angels, not that I was around for the original series, must have been repeats :-)

Yeah - the little 'flip' thing with the teeth is soooo gay. lol I want to see fangs growing out of the gums, spurting blood as they elongate, forming scythes that scare the living hell out of people. Not little sticks that make people laugh. But if you can get past the teeth, it isn't bad.

Still not sure about it as the telepathy thing was getting kinda annoying an all, gonna stick with it though and see how it goes, bring on episode 4.

The show you are talking about is Ultra Violet. It aired once on Channel 4, and the dvd sells for loads online now. I should know I just sold it!

I got this as a box set for Christmas so have watched it now. Pretty much agree with all of you, the opening credits and theme tune are ace, the teeth are crap, the storylines were sometimes way off the mark and that made the middle section of the season quite slow moving and a bit wishy washy but it ended really well - it's also ages since I read it so I'd actually forgotten who the killer was!

 

I didn't like the grandma character very much though, she didn't seem how I imangined she should from the books - but you can't win em all! I also expected Bill to be a bit more impressive.

Season 1 was alright but not that big a deal that I could be bothered with FX and waited till it came to 4, season 2 was pretty awesome though and season 3 went straight on to my planner, half way through that and it's fricking amazing and has some of the most awesomely wrong and disturbing scenes I have ever seen!!!!

 

Love it, love it, luuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrve it, and it is no way gay except for the actual gay bits!
