Posted March 26, 201015 yr comment_41485 Got all the Primal land collections and I am geeked! I'm trying to read slowly and savor every last bit. I always loved the whole Crow saga and this is adding some serious flavor. Learning about Exior is so great. Everywhere I looked before I found this place was out of print and long gone. The books I found on Amazon were brand spanking new aside from the one from the Staten Island Public Library (which is pretty cool if I do say so myself) and hella cheap. That is allowing me to drop some more serious coin on a purchase from your (our?) very own Nathan; The Compleat Crow. It's going to be the most I've spent on a book outside of school texts in my youngish life. I got a good deal and homey is getting some cash for whatever vice(s) he pursues outside of reading. I think it would be fair to say I am more well read than the average Yank and it's been a while since I've been to the dictionary this many times this quick into the book. It was scupper that got me first. I'm not sure if it's the pond or the time in which it was written, as most of these were penned either before I was born or before I could read. I am very excited if you hadn't noticed, but it's with a slight touch of sadness (which makes it all that much more visceral and enjoyable) because I don't think anymore Titus or Primal stuff is in the works so there is a very finite amount of content left that is still new to this Crow. PS this site is great. I've never been able to talk about Harry & Co. in anything more than abstract until now. I'm not even what the proper exclamation to use would be at this point. Thinking Hooray, but maybe I should go a little less cheery in light of the great majority of the subject matter found in these books... any suggestions? this was some serious rambling
March 27, 201015 yr comment_41489 Good to hear you are enjoying the primal lands stuff I think they are pretty cool as well. The arhaic language is probably a homage to Lovecraft, he was using language that fell out of comman usage himself. I am sure that horay is the correct response and others would agree with me despite the subject matter.
March 30, 201015 yr comment_41513 I know just what you mean, I would love for there to be more primal land stuff available and I think there is still a lot of potential there but as far as I know there's no new material due. The language in the primal land series in my opinion isn't particularly archaic though, so I guess it's probably a British/American thing, I seriously do use words like scupper!
