Hey everyone,

 

My name is Dean Morin and I'm a sculptor (at least I used to be). I once sculpted a lady karen statue for a company called classic plastics back in the 90's. they put out a shaithis statue back then.the karen statue was a companion piece to go along with a statue of that big fat wamphyri.can't remember his name. anyhoo, right after I did the sculpt the company went belly up. I never got the sculpture back.

I got a call a couple of years later from some guy that knew the ex-owner of classic plastics and wanted my permission to produce it. I said sure and then after a while I kind of forgot about it.

Just wondering if anyone has seen it out there at a convention or online or whatever.

Mr. Lumley himself approved the photos of the sculpt so I know at least one other person knows it exists.

The scupt is of Karen holding the heart of the fat vampire in one hand and the bladed gauntlet thing on the other. Had a wolf belt buckle that I kind of rearranged to be a sort of snarling toothy chastity belt. also had a fur cape with a repeating bat pattern going down the back....oh and one breast exposed. Please, any one whose seen or heard of it let me know...I'd at least like to buy one. heh.

I would love to see some photo's of this piece. I own a Shaithis model from "Classic Plastic" that you mentioned. Do you have any images of the finished sculpture?

hm...I have a vhs tape that I would send back to the home office for them to check. there has to be a way for me to convert to an image.

 

oh wait, I'd need a vcr wouldn't I? Who has one of those anymore?

Welcome Dean, i would love to see this sculpture of Lady Karen. Oh by the way i have a vhs/dvd combie that can transfer from one to the other, but i'm sure you could pick one up cheap from Amazon or the likes.

I'm thinkin if I can get this done I'll just post a youtube video or something. I's my day off today....I'll look into it.

Skullberry it's a real shame that your sculpture never had the oportunity to be sold, I for one would have certainly bought it (cost permitting!) I'd also love to see any pictures you might be able to get for us of it.

 

Is there any chance another company might be interested? From your description it looks amazing and I'm sure I need one of these!
