October 6, 201015 yr comment_42333 I seem to remember that Mr Lumley is not a fan of e-books; and at present there are no Necroscope novels (or indeed any Lumley novels) available for Amazon Kindle, which I think is a shame as IMO it's a fantastic way to read and take hundreds of books with you where ever you go - I'm loving my new Kindle! Does anyone know what Mr Lumley's particular aversion to the e-book format is? It is very hard to pirate Amazon's file type and I would think that having his books available on kindle would only help the sales of his fantastic novels - I for one would love to have his library on kindle to take with me to work, on holiday etc. would be great! October 6, 201015 yr comment_42334 Umm... not sure where you looked on Amazon but there are 14 Lumley novels available on the Kindle. If you go to the Store on the site and type 'Brian Lumley Kindle' in the search bar on the right it will give you the results that will take you to the product pages on Amazon where you can get them. Current titles I see right now are as follows: The Brian Lumley Companion Necroscope: Harry and the Pirates: and Other Tales from the Lost Years Necroscope: The Touch Harry Keogh: Necroscope and Other Weird Heroes! Beneath the Moors and Darker Places Necroscope: Avengers Necroscope: Defilers Necroscope: Invaders Khai of Khem The Whisperer and Other Voices: Short Stories and a Novella Tarra Khash: Hrossak!: Tales of the Primal Land Maze of Worlds The House of Cthulhu: Tales of the Primal Land Vol. 1 Sorcery in Shad: Tales of the Primal Land Hope that helps! Brian's aversion is more of a personal preference - he likes the feel and the smell of an actual book if I remember his take on it correctly - but it is ultimately up to the publishers on how the books get released (if my knowledge is correct). While the eformat is growing, it still trails physical book sales and we all know people don't like change. Report
October 6, 201015 yr Author comment_42336 I tried to find Mr Lumleys works for kindle on Amazon.co.uk, I see now that they are available at Amazon.com...but only for yanks apparently as they keep directing me back to amazon.co.uk where there aren't any of his books available on kindle! Oh well guess I will have to wait and keep on with the good old paperback versions for now! Report
October 7, 201015 yr comment_42337 hmmmm.... that is weird. I would think it shouldn't matter but what do I know? Have you tried setting up an account on amazon.com exclusively and buying from that account? I have two different accounts, one for .com and one for .co.uk and have never had trouble (with physical books). I have a nook though for digital... Report
February 19, 201115 yr comment_42537 Yeah I have this problem too- your kindle has to be set to a region, and defaults to the UK site if you bought it there. I think you need a US address and all kinds of stuff to use the US storefront, and then you lose access to your UK bought books. All down to publishing rights etc. It is however extremely infuriating that nothing at all is available on amazon.co.uk. I'd probably buy up the whole back catalogue if it did become available.
