Posted August 29, 201410 yr comment_43077 After doing some digging around, I cant say that I'm happy that someone has actually bought the rights to Necroscope. I Googled "Evolving Pictures", and the 2nd Google entry was about them buying rights to the Necroscope. The third entry was an IMDB profile, of two films I've never heard of, even on the indie market. For a long time I've been excited about the possibility of Harry coming to the big screen. But after researching, Evolving Pictures comes across more and more like a tax-haven company, one who buys options just for the tax breaks, and has no plans to produce them, and can then take the loss on their taxes to offset their parent company's real estate/payroll/investment taxes. They don't seem to actually invest in the properties they buy. They buy them, dump in a couple thousand, and cut their losses. Common tactics for tax haven companies. As long as Evolving Pictures holds the rights, we'll never see an actual Necroscope movie. Period.
April 14, 201510 yr comment_43212 You are absolutely right. At best, Evolving Pictures is some bodies pipe dream and nothing more. There is no WAY in the WORLD that they will secure financing... Their website for the film is ran with all of the technical skill you would expect from the days of PRODIGY... There are even FUCKING BIBLICAL REFERENCES! It would almost be funny if it wasn't sad. I am certain that Harry K. and Co. will never be in live action unless someone does an unofficial fan film.
