On that subject, I love I Want Love, but it could just be because Robert Downey Jr's in the video and it sounds like it's him singing.

On another note I caught 1 of Placebo's new tracks the other day on MTV2, "Goodbye Ashtray girl" or something or other and it was pretty bloody good, not normally a Placebo lover but this track was defo top notch I may even buy there new albumb just on the merit of this 1 track (I'm only presuming they have a new albumb out not actually sure)

Has anybody heard THE CORAL there a scouse band but absolutely CLASS well worth checking out !!!

I mentioned The Coral on this thread a few months ago.

 

Saw a clip of them on last night's Glastonbury highlights. Top band and looking forward to the new CD coming out next month.

 

Just hope when they tour again, they play some larger gigs as earlier in the year they were playing tiny venues and tickets sold out straight away.

wwo, they already have another CD out - it only seems like last summer they had a CD out... they are cracking mind you:)

 

Still listening to How the West was Won... could be about for a while!

Just been knocking out some MP3 files for a friend in the States to give her a chance to listen to some decent music.

 

Been playing them back to make sure they sound OK and the list includes The Coral, both Doves CDs, 3 Oasis CDs, OCS, some solo Weller & Style Council, Belle & Sebastian, The Verve & Radiohead.

Today I is mostly listening to Tim Brooke-Taylor & Jeremy Hardy singing Tattoo's All She Said and Atomic Kitten's version of Eternal Flame respectively...

 

If you have no idea as to who Tim and Jeremy are then rest assured they are both cultural giants whose perspective on pop music adds depth of meaning and subtle nuances beyond the usual drivel.

 

Either that or they're just playing it for wasps.

I am currently listening to Good Charlotte in my head as I'm seeing them this weekend (secret gig-free tickets!!) Also making a t-shirt to wear that says Bad Charlotte, so look out for me as I think it's going to be shown on 4music or something.

Looks like Red's putting herself forward to be first up to do a bit of a star turn at KC3, just one word of advice though don't sing anything you truley love or cherish while that A1 chappy's about he'll only deform and contort it out of all recognition leaving you broken and empty inside....................................Alright so I'm being a tad melodramatic but some of us will never be able to listen to U2 again now thanks to A1 and Vic Reeves
