I'm surprised it hasn't been put up here yet, but found out that David Gemmel died after heart surgey.

It's sad when a well known and loved author leaves the pool. Richard really liked him and a few other of my friends. apparently he still hadn't finished off some of books

He lived only a couple of mles away from me. I really enjoyed his writing. Alot of his subjects were flawed hero's not the usual fantasy cliches. The news came through the other day and I was stunned, I knew he had been ill but it was believed he was on the mend. It's a great loss.

Just saw this.. too bad, he was a really good writer, I have about 15+ thereabouts books of his and more that I haven't read, his Greek Series will be the next I get.

 

Waylander et al will be missed...
