November 2, 200124 yr comment_1006 was browsing a cheaping bookshop 2day and found a lumley short story title called "the sun, the sea and the scream" in a stephen jones "dark voices" Pan compilation. Can anyone confirm if this has appeared in any other title? As i certainly havent heard of this short story before or read it anywhere else. Could it be an obscure story? [ 11-02-2001 08:32 AM: Message edited 1 time, lastly by VonDarkmoor ] Report

November 2, 200124 yr Author comment_1008 Yeah i noticed that its in the upcoming collection. Im just intrigued to find where the short story originated from. i suspect it was in one of the magazines perhaps. anyway if it was obscure it was a bargain for £2. shame the shop only had 2 copies otherwise i would have bought a few more. November 4, 200124 yr comment_1010 And if you check out Steven Jones' Dark Voices 2 you'll find a true rarity of Brian's... A Really Game Boy In fact most of Jones' anthologies are well worth a look, you'll find contributions from the likes of Poppy Z Brite, S King, Masterton, Rice, Barker and less populist luminaries who always surprise with different takes on old themes...
