Necroscope and Other weird heroes.

Hi All,

This topic is being placed due to the 3 other topics already available on this book, there is no need for 3 topics, so one will suffice, the other topics will be locked, and will contain a link to here.

The new book is a very good one and ripe for much conversation and contribution from members of the board.

Personally I'm working slowly through it due to other personal commitments, but what I've read (2 thirds of it) has been wicked. I started on the Dead Eddy this morning, so any thoughts on that from me will be held up for the time being.

As for the other stories, I've read just about everything Brian has written and love most of it(not a big fan of poetry though!)... so the TItus Corw stories were a welcome return, and also very good to read for about the 4th time... the Hero and Eldin ones were new to me as I don't have the Weirdbooks that contain them, and the Stealer of dreams was about as good as it gets for Hero and Eldin, personally the Hero and Eldin shorts are my favourites from that world.

Anyway, start your discussion, now, I know some like the book, and there is one who seems disapointed.... those topics can be found:

Harry Keogh Necroscope and other wierd heroes....

Harry Keogh and OWH - which new story was your fave?

The OTHER weird Hero's ?

So you have links to the old topics, go on... what do you really think?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, Firstly if I have offended anybody I didn't mean too. My reason behind my topic is this - I was under the impression that after the last 3 offerings which I thought were excellent by the way! The Necroscope saga had come to a satisfactory end. So I have been waiting for some time (like everybody else I suppose)for a new offering. Thats the reason why I'm dissapointed. Hope this helps.

Llamedos - I am unable to make it to KC3 for finacial reasons, but I will hopefully make it one day.

Regards

Cryo,

I can see your point somewhat - I for one would have loved to see these short stories turned into another Lost Years volume, but it just wasn't to be. So I have to enjoy them for what they are, stand alone shorts. It seems weird since all the Necro stories have always been huge novels, but, I can accept it. All we can do is wait and see what the future holds for new material. :D

Hi Shadoe,

I'll always be a fan of Brian's work, but I can't change the way I feel about this collection - as you say thats the way it is. By the way I enjoyed the new Necroscope short stories.

All the best
