March 2, 200323 yr comment_1138 Bookmarked the page from Silky's note yesterday. The House of the Temple appears in the UK collection The Sceond Wish, but I've never heard of Swamped before. Always good to come across the rarer one-off stories like Spaghetti, The Statement of One John Gibson and The Kiss of Bugg-Shash Report
March 3, 200323 yr comment_1139 Have earmarked this one ... signed up to recieve an email when its available to order. Report
April 24, 200323 yr comment_1140 I guess no one got an email when this one was ready - I didn't. I just went back to the site this evening, and placed a pre-order for the House of the Temple. Well that's if the order went through OK - there's a notice saying that if you haven't heard from them, to contact some guy that runs the site (roger range, I think) anyway, follow Shadoe's link, and you should find it OK! April 25, 200323 yr comment_1141 Thanks Tops, I just put in my preorder. Now I have 2 new Lumley books to look forward to! Report
April 25, 200323 yr comment_1142 Cheers Tops, I was waiting for an email from them but never recieved one. Order is now placed. Report
April 25, 200323 yr comment_1143 I was waiting for the same email as well... it was your Harry Keogh post that prompted me in to looking it up, so thank you! Tops Report
April 30, 200323 yr comment_1144 Don't know if any of you guys have received confirmation when ordering these books, but I chased it up using the roggerr hotmail address and got confirmation that my order was okay today. Might be wise if you ain't received anything yet to chase it up..... Report
May 2, 200323 yr comment_1146 When I ordeed it, they emailed me back saying there was a problem with the website, and he was unsure wat I ha ordered, so I had to mail him directly stating what book I wanted to order. Report
May 2, 200323 yr comment_1147 Hey all, Roger just emailed me to let me know that my order went through OK... It seems the website is new, and possibly not properly tested, so I say give him a chance and let things settle a bit, although, I would email him if you haven't heard a thing about the order! May 7, 200323 yr comment_1148 Well I was supposed to be trying to save money but I've given in to temptation and put my order in! Report
May 8, 200323 yr comment_1149 Would like to order this, but don't really have the time to be chasing the order up, so I might wait a little til his system's settled down a bit more... Report
June 12, 200322 yr comment_1150 I have THE HOUSE OF THE TEMPLE in a Horror Anthology edited by Steve Jones. I found the book in a bargain bin at a Borders Bookstore. All in all its a real good Mythos story, with a strong build up to a striking climax. You'll all LOVE it! Report
June 12, 200322 yr comment_1151 yeah, it's also in Coven of Vampires I think this one is for the collectors mainly... it does have Swamped which I haven't read. Report
June 16, 200322 yr comment_1152 I also have that horror anthology, it's called The Giant Book of Horror and I also bought it at a bargain price, though mine was from The Works. I got it mainly for The House of the Temple which I loved but the other stories in it are great too. Theres one from Clive Barker, F Paul Wilson Ramsay Campbell and loads of other writers. At just 5 pounds it was well worth it! Report
June 17, 200322 yr comment_1154 It's called Buckets and along with The House of the Temple is one of my favourites in the book Report
June 18, 200322 yr comment_1155 not read that one, but on the point of FPW, it was a short story that got me hooked on his work in the first place... and if it wasn't for a Lumley story appearing that collection I probably wouldn't have been tempted to buy it at the time:) Report
