In the course of work I found myself a couple of weekends ago at a lame car boot sale type market and whilst I was aimlessly browsing around and not finding what I was supposed to be looking for in the first place I came across the complete set of the 1st Necroscope comics for £3. :D Needless to say I snapped them up quicktime tongue.gif

So I was wondering, what's everyone elses best bargain buy?

My best bargain was buying a pristine copy of Beneath the Moors from a London bookshop last year for £17.

Fair enough, that's the cost today of a brand new HB, however Moors was published by Arkham House in 1974 in a print run of 4000 copies.

This book is listed on rare book sites at £25 for a tatty copy, (stained, damaged spine, general wear and tear etc) up to about £50 for a "Fine condition" copy, so I'd say I got mine at a bargain.

Also, it was signed by Brian last April, so to collectors, it's an even more valuable edition of the 4000 copies.

With Arkham House only ever publishing a small print run of their books, the price will rise to silly levels in time, to make it even more of a bargain.

OK, here's my best bargain buy....

Beneath the Moors in mint unread condition for $11, can't remember what the price was in pounds sterling. I was on the lookout for another one at that price... but I thin kit was a mistake.

My other great buy was House of Cthulhu (weirdbook press) for $7.50.

Not bad there lads... some of my other stuff was way too pricey!
