18,30 and 47

kenny
November 3rd, 2007, 01:11 AM
Oh sooo close there Matman, but 1 of your ages is wrong i'm sorry to say.

matman72
November 3rd, 2007, 01:18 AM
That would be the first one? I know it was when he was in his late teens, I calculated 18 but it must be 17. (i think):o

kenny
November 3rd, 2007, 01:22 AM
Nope, it's the last one.

matman72
November 3rd, 2007, 01:33 AM
I'm lost then, in Grant Enderby's Story, III it says " I was forty-seven when next--and last--I saw Dylath-Leen..."

kenny
November 4th, 2007, 12:35 AM
I took the question from The Caller Of The Black. Page 120 chapter III reads I was forty-three when next-- when last -- I saw Dylath-Leen.
Your go Matman since you were the only one to answer the question.

Can anyone tell us the correct age for Grants last trip to Earth's Dreamlands, not that it matter but just out of curiosity.

matman72
November 4th, 2007, 01:08 AM
oops

matman72
November 4th, 2007, 01:10 AM
I just looked it up.
Caller of the Black, as you said, 43.
Clock of Dreams, HarperCollins PB, page 67 says he was 47.
Titus Crow volume two TOR PB, page 52 says age 47 also.
Iiinntteresting.
As Caller was the first i would go by that.

Anyway,
My first words were:
"Mommy is dead."

kenny
November 6th, 2007, 07:19 PM
"Mommy is dead".
She is dead and there is no water and no rats left.

kenny
November 11th, 2007, 07:18 PM
