I recently received an e-mail from a well-meaning fellow Lumlian which was a hoax (it COULD be true!) ... may I suggest, to any and all, the following site to check for known hoaxes before forwarding the e-mail:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/hoax.html
They list not only virus hoaxes, but e-mail hoaxes as well... thanks for listening...

I got it too... kind'a thought 'what the hell?' and sent it to a few friends, but then found out it was a virus hoax, so stopped. I didn't even know what a virus hoax was... Hey, how do you make those icons in your messages?

Thanks Ehlana,
I got the same message also and passed it up because things that sound too good to be true usually are. But I wondered just the same. I'll hang on to that URL incase I get anymore 2good e-mails.
By the way, congrats on your ascension. Just mind your place in the pecking order... I don't wanna go WAMPHYRI on your butt. http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/wink.gif

COOL; I somehow didn't expect a response to this posting http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/smile.gif
Krynus, there's a complete listing of what icons you can create under the FAQ's... but basically, if you type in the emoticon, the picture usually pops up! http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/redface.gif
Mike, thanks for noticing ... but ... get anywhere near my butt, and after the initial drool you'll be too busy picking up teeth to worry about pecking orders ;>
But seriously (butt serious? errr) what was I saying? ... oh yes, thanks for noticing and I thought I'd pass that site on as it has saved me from forwarding many hoax e-mails on...

Ehlana- You are too much http://www.brianlumley.com/ubb/wink.gif After the initial drool... I love that. Of course we could form an alliance... I have all my teeth and hope to keep them.

It's always a good idea to follow up on virus threats at a trustable source like symantec or mccaffee. It'll give you the true info (like the latest on BubbleBoy imitators which are bound to flourish soon), and you won't feel like a fool for forwarding fake info to friends.
