I finally got my grubby little mits on a Headline edition of Mad Moon of Dreams... Paper quality's a bit nicer than the one I currently have it sits so nicely with the first two of the series...
Also picked up a spare Underwood cover Psychamok - a bit tatty but... ;)
All this for the grand price of... wait for it... NOWT!
Knowing someone in the secondhand trade is great sometimes! :D

It took me 10 years to track down a UK copy of Mad Moon.
It was out of print in 1992 when I first started collecting BL books, even though it was only published in 1989 and Hero Books 1, 2 and 4 were still available.

I have never even seen a UK copy! I do have an American copy on its way though but when most of your collection is British you tend to want the British ones more

I'm with you there Silver... Unfortunately I was only able to get Mad Moon and Iced from Waterstones and FP in Cardiff - and then only Tor editions... Very nice they are but I always preferred the larger UK format. Now I have Mad Moon - but I don't think they ever released Iced over here - maybe someone can correct me on that?
As for the bookshop - might be going in there as fulltime manager soon. Much better to spend my days reading and being cantankerous to customers than teaching dodgy subjects to people who'll never put the skills to practicable use! lol

By 'eck Mr Glover, Iced on Aran was published in the UK by Headline in 1990.

Too tired when wrote the last - I HAVE the Headline Mad Moon but and still shy of the Headline Iced on Aran - I was talking with my collection last night and they were telling me how incomplete they feel without Iced - so it's not for me - it is for them... honest!

GRRR!!!! Well, ya know I'M freakin' out here on the other side of the pond! Finally got my grubby paws on 'Other Weird Heros' and had my first experience with David Hero and Eldin the Wanderer. Needless to say, I loved 'em, and had to immediately go find all those books!
I got lucky, I had to order 1 - 3, but am seriously striking out in 'Iced on Aran'. Nobody around here can get it for me, I've scoped out every used book store around here (and that's sayin' something!), but to no avail. I know it's available online from the likes of Amazon.com and such, but I am credit card free, and glad of it, so I'm now jonesing for that last book!
In the immortal words of Tom Servo...EEEEEAAAAUUUGGGGHHH!!!!
